Women's Basketball Looks to Bounce Back at Fairfield

Red Foxes Face the Stags Saturday Afternoon on ESPN3

FAIRFIELD, Connecticut - Marist women's basketball (10-5, 2-1 MAAC) travels to Connecticut on Saturday, Jan. 12 to face the Fairfield Stags (3-10, 0-2 MAAC) in the fourth game of the MAAC season. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. on ESPN3.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Marist women's basketball (10-5, 2-1 MAAC) was defeated by Quinnipiac (8-6, 3-0 MAAC) on Thursday afternoon at McCann Arena.
  • The Red Foxes were able to hang tough through the first half, but turnovers and offensive rebounds at the beginning of the third quarter let Quinnipiac pull ahead and win, 76-69.
  • Lovisa Henningsdottir shot 5-of-6 from the field for a season-high 16 points with three rebounds, two blocks and four three-pointers.
ABOUT FAIRFIELD
  • Fairfield lost 62-59 at Rider on Jan. 6, and enters their first game in six days.
  • Khadidatou Diouf leads the Stags in scoring at 13.0 per game, while collecting 6.5 rebounds per game.
