Women's Basketball Returns to Action with Iona

Red Foxes End Homestand with the Gaels

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Marist women's basketball (13-5, 5-1 MAAC) welcomes Iona (1-16, 0-6 MAAC) to McCann Arena at 7 p.m. on Jan. 21. Originally scheduled for Jan. 20, the game was moved due to weather.

LAST TIME OUT
  • The Red Foxes defeated Siena (8-9, 4-2 MAAC) at home, 88-59 on Thursday night.
  • Rebekah Hand scored 24 points in 26 minutes with four three-pointers, eight rebounds and five assists.
  • Willow Duffell reached double-digits for a second consecutive game with 11 points and six rebounds, and freshman Kendall Krick scored a career-high 11 points with two three-pointers.
  • The Red Foxes led by a season-high 37 at the beginning of the fourth quarter.

  • Rebekah Hand leads the NCAA in free-throw percentage (96.8). She has made 51 consecutive free throws dating back to Nov. 18, and is the first player in NCAA history to have consecutive streaks of 50+ made free throws.
  • Hand (41.3), Alana Gilmer (40.9) and Sarah Barcello (38.3) rank second, third and seventh in the MAAC in three-point percentage. 
  • Grace Vander Weide is second in the conference in assists per game (4.2), while Allie Best sits at seventh (3.2).
