POUGHKEEPSIE, New York -Â The Marist men's soccer team (4-6-0, 1-2-0) will host MAAC rivals Fairfield (2-4-4, 0-1-2)Â on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. The Red Foxes are coming off of a thrilling double-overtime win against Siena, while the Stags are still looking for the win column after tying Iona on Saturday.

- The Red Foxes defeated Siena 2-1 in double overtime on Saturday night.
- Marist broke the ice in the 38th minute. After earning a dead-ball situation in the penalty box, junior Huib Achterkamp found the net on a PK.
- Minutes later, Siena tied the game. Matt Crisafulli headed a perfectly placed ball from Gylfi Gestsson into the top left corner of the net.Â
- In the 106th minute of the game, freshman Antek Sienkiel found classmate Stefan Copetti ahead of the Siena back line, and Copetti beat Siena goalkeeper Greg Monroe for the golden goal.Â
- Junior Allen Gavilanes led Marist in shots with four. Copetti led in shots on goal with two.                        Â
- Huib Achterkamp leads the Red Foxes with three goals. The junior has gone 3-for-3 on penalty kicks, and is third in the nation in that category.
- Samad Bounthong, Christian Curti and Stefan Copetti have two goals apiece.
- Allen Gavilanes has paced Marist with four assists, and has also recorded a goal.
- Gavilanes and Achterkamp are tied for the team lead with six points each.                       Â
- Fairfield tied 0-0 at Iona on Saturday night.
- Cooper Knecht leads the team with three goals on the season.
- Matt McGlinchey has contributed a goal and four assists for the Stags.
- Gordon Botterill has been the man in goal all season, and hs recorded 55 saves for a save percentage of 79.7.
- Marist is 4-15-2 all-time against the Stags.
- The last matchup on October 24, 2018 ended in a 1-1 tie. Cameron Harr scored goal for Marist.
- The Red Foxes' last win on October 10, 2015 at Tenney Stadium was won by a score of 2-1.Â
