Women’s Soccer Hosts Manhattan On Senior Day

Marist Honors Five-Member Senior Class

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist Women's Soccer prepares for its home regular season finale on Saturday, October 26 against Manhattan at 5 p.m. Before the game, the Red Foxes will honor its five seniors, Keri Bradley, Bianca Furci, Francesca Guzzo, Taylor Mongno, and Alexa Svensson, as part of Senior Day.
 
HOW TO FOLLOW
  • The Red Fox Network will air the Senior Day ceremony as well as the game. The ceremony will begin at approximately 4:40 p.m., and the stream will begin at 4:30 p.m.
  • GoRedFoxes.com will also supply live statistics.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Marist defeated Saint Peter's 2-0 on the road on Wednesday, October 23.
  • Svensson took sole possession of the program's all-time assists record with a pair of helpers on the day, giving her 23 in her four-year career.
  • In the 58th minute, junior Nicole Sasso took a Svensson free kick and delivered a pass to sophomore Victoria Colatosi who finished it in the top-right corner.
  • Later, Sasso headed home a Svensson corner kick in the 73rd minute.
 
SCOUTING MANHATTAN
  • Manhattan is coming off a 1-1 draw with Quinnipiac.
  • The Jaspers are 3-10-2 overall and 2-4-2 in conference play.
  • Arianna Montefusco leads the team with eight goals and 18 points.
  • In the last 10 matchups between these two teams, Marist is 7-2-1, including a 1-0 triumph in 2018.
 
THE SENIOR CLASS
  • Keri Bradley
    • In her first season, she started 19 of 20 games, scoring nine goals to rank sixth in the MAAC in goals per game.
    • Bradley tallied her first-career hat trick against Delaware State on September 21, 2016.
    • She is tied for eighth and ninth all-time with 15 career tallies and 37 points, respectively.
  • Bianca Furci
    • Across 72 career games, she has started 71.
    • The three-time team captain scored a season-best three goals last season.
    • Off the field, Furci was named to the 2018 MAAC All-Academic Team.
  • Francesca Guzzo
    • Guzzo has appeared in 15 games throughout her career, starting 10.
    • In a year where she started a season-best seven games, she was named the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week on October 1, 2018.
    • She was named to the 2017 and 2018 MAAC All-Academic Team.
  • Taylor Mongno
    • Mongno has appeared in 57 career contests, coming off the bench for 41.
    • She finished the 2017 season with one goal (which came against Manhattan), two assists and four shots on goal.
    • Mongno earned MAAC All-Academic Team honors in 2017 and 2018.
  • Alexa Svensson
    • Marist's all-time assists leader with 23, Svensson has made 67 appearances for the Red Foxes.
    • In 2018, she recorded a team-high eight assists, second-most in a single season for a Red Fox.
    • Off the field, she was a 2017 and 2018 MAAC All-Academic Team selection.

  • Marist closes out the regular season on Wednesday, October 30 at Canisius.
