Men's Soccer Set for MAAC #2 Iona

Red Foxes Head to New Rochelle for Pivotal Game

NEW ROCHELLE, New York - Marist men's soccer (8-7, 5-3 MAAC) will travel to face MAAC #2 Iona (10-4-1, 5-2-1 MAAC) on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m. in an important matchup for playoff seeding. The Red Foxes are coming off of a double-overtime win over Monmouth and have won five of their last six, while the Gaels are coming off of a double-overtime loss to Rider.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Marist defeated Monmouth in double-overtime by a score of 1-0.
  • Allen Gavilanes scored the lone goal of the game in the 102nd minute, assisted by Stefan Copetti and Skylar Conway.
  • Goalkeeper Sam Ilin kept the Red Foxes in the game with a career-high 10 saves in the shutout.
SCOUTING THE GAELS
  • Iona has won two of their last three, but lost their most recent to Rider 2-1.
