Marist Drops Non-Conference Game At Fordham

Rams Pull Away Late In First Half

BRONX, New York – The Marist men's basketball team was defeated by Fordham of the Atlantic 10 Conference by a score of 58-41 on Saturday night at Rose Hill Gym.
 
Summary
  • Fordham jumped out to an early 7-2 lead at the first media timeout.
  • Tyler Sagl hit consecutive threes to give Marist its first lead at 14-13. Zion Tordoff followed with three straight points to give Marist its largest lead, 17-14 at the 6:39 mark of the first half.
  • Fordham answered by taking the lead for good thanks to a 13-0 run.
  • A Michael Cubbage mid-range jumper in the closing seconds of the first half cut Marist's deficit to 29-20 after the first 20 minutes.
