Men's Basketball Comes Up Just Short Against The Citadel

Herasme Sets Career High In Points & Rebounds

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's basketball team dropped a non-conference game to The Citadel by a score of 79-75 at McCann Arena on Saturday night.
 
Summary
  • Michael Cubbage hit a jumper on the game's opening possession, but The Citadel answered with six straight points, and did not trail the reminder of the first half.
  • With 2:06 left in the half, Jack Cavanaugh's three-pointer tied the score at 29 apiece. But the Bulldogs scored the final four points of the half.
  • The Citadel outscored Marist 8-2 in the first three minutes of the second half to tie its largest lead at 10. But the Red Foxes answered with a 12-0, punctuated by consecutive threes by Tyler Sagl, and took their first lead since the game's opening possession.
