Marist Drops Non-Conference Finale At Columbia

Four Red Foxes Score In Double Digits

NEW YORK, New York – The Marist men's basketball team dropped its non-conference finale at Columbia by a score of 69-54 on Saturday afternoon at Levien Gymnasium
 
Summary
  • Tyler Sagl scored Marist's first five points of the contest.
  • Columbia used an 8-0 run to take a 13-7 lead, but back-to-back three-pointers by Matt Herasme and Jack Cavanaugh tied the score. However, then the Lions reeled off seven straight points, which forced a Marist timeout at the 8:19 mark.
  • Marist held Columbia without a field goal for the last 7:04 of the first half, and a three-pointer by Herasme with 46 seconds remaining gave the Red Foxes a 26-25 halftime lead.
  • There were five lead changes in the first 4:36 of the second half.
