POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's tennis team will take part in the Siena Invitational on Saturday, February 2. The Red Foxes will be looking to pick up their first win of the 2019 season, as they take on the Bucknell Bison. The match is scheduled to begin at noon.  
 

Last Time Out

Marist opened the season on the road against St. John's on Sunday, January 27. The Red Storm shutout the Red Foxes 7-0, and moved to 2-1 on the season. The men had a couple of close matches in the loss, highlighted by Lars Schouten who forced a tiebreaker set in the second singles spot, but he was bested by Dusan Vukicevic 10-6.
 

Scouting Bucknell

The Bison are also sitting winless on the 2019 season, with an 0-2 record. Last time out, they competed in the unscored NJIT Winter Invite, in Newark New Jersey. Although the Invite was unscored, Bucknell did go unbeaten on the day. Drew Krantz won four matches in the Invite, including three in doubles with three different partners.
 

Up Next

The Red Foxes will travel to Hamilton, NY on Saturday, February 9 for a non-conference matchup against the Colgate Raiders. The match is set to begin at 4:00 p.m.
