POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist women's basketball team (18-8, 10-4 MAAC) will host rival Fairfield (8-17, 5-9 MAAC) on Tuesday evening. Tip is set for 7 p.m., and proceeds from the 50-50 raffle will go to the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation. Â

- The Red Foxes defeated Canisius 66-50 on Saturday, February 16th.
- Junior Rebekah Hand led Marist with 18 points on 7-14 shooting from the field and 4-8 from three-point range.
- Red-shirt junior Alana Gilmer followed with 14 points, two assists, a block, and a steal.
- Red-shirt junior Grace Vander Weide led the team in assists (7), rebounds (6), and steals (3).
- Senior Lovisa Henningsdottir added eight points off the bench, shooting 2-5 from three.Â
- Fairfield is coming off of a 48-40 loss to Quinnipiac on Sunday, February 17th. The Stags kept the game close with the MAAC-leading Bobcats until the final minute.
- The Stags forced 14 turnovers, blocked three shots, and came away with eight steals on the defensive end.
- Fairfield was led by freshman Lou Lopez-Senechal, who filled out the stat line with 15 points, eight boards, three assists, three steals, and a block.
- When Marist and Fairfield met on January 12th, the Red Foxes won 56-46.
- Alana Gilmer led with 16 points, while Rebekah Hand posted a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 boards.
- Sophomore Allie Best led the team with three assists, while Gilmer and freshman Sarah Barcello tied for the team lead in steals with three.
Sophomore forward Willow Duffell accomplished a first in Sunday's game vs. Canisius. Duffell, who was left wide open by an unsuspecting Canisius defender, swished her first career three-pointer at the 7:35 mark in the second quarter.Â
Willow's offensive numbers have ballooned across the board during her sophomore season. She's shooting 51.0% from the floor, 100% from the three (1-of-1), and 70.4% from the charity stripe. Duffell averages 7.2 points per game, up from 4.8 her freshman year, and her 1.3 assists per game this year is almost double that of last year's 0.7.
The Red Foxes will rematch MAAC-leader Quinnipiac on Saturday, Feb 23rd. Tip is set for 2 P.M. Video will be available on ESPN+ ($), and audio will be available on the Red Fox Network.
