Women's Basketball Heads to Monmouth in Final Road Game

Red Foxes Head into Last Matchups of the Regular Season

WEST LONG BRANCH, New Jersey - The Marist women's basketball team (19-9, 11-5 MAAC) embarks on their final road game of the regular season to play Monmouth (12-15, 8-8 MAAC) on Thursday evening. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m on ESPN+.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Marist was defeated by Quinnipiac (21-6, 16-0 MAAC), 78-66 on Saturday afternoon.
  • Grace Vander Weide handed out a program-record 15 assists to go along with nine points and eight rebounds, and Lovisa Henningsdottir made five three-pointers for a season-high as she scored 19 points.
  • The Red Foxes shot 40.0% from three and held the Bobcats to 30.4%.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS
  • Monmouth fell to Canisius on Sunday, 65-56.
  • Junior Sierra Green led the team with 15 points, including four triples.
  • Freshman Lucy Thomas added 12 points, going a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line to go along with two three-pointers.

  • Rebekah Hand leads the NCAA in free-throw percentage (93.9). She made 62 consecutive free throws between Nov. 18 and Jan. 30 for the fourth-longest streak in NCAA history.

In the final game of the regular season, Marist hosts Niagara (12-16, 8-8 MAAC) for Senior Day on Saturday, March 2. The Red Fox seniors will be honored prior to the game for their dedication to the program, and the game begins at 7 p.m. on ESPN3.
