Marist earned its first win of the season with a 14-13 victory over Hartford on the road. The Red Foxes are now 1-2 on the season. The Red Foxes took the lead late in the fourth quarter making the score 14-13.
Peyton Smith went 27-31 from the face-off and picked up 14 ground balls.
Jake Weinman had three goals with one of them being the game winner.

Stony Brook is seeking its third win of the season with a 2-1 overall record. The Seawolves are coming off a 2018 season where they finished 7-8 overall. Junior Tom Haun scored a career high of five goals during their last match. Haun's last goal of the game against Hofstra broke the tie to win the game.

- Marist had nine different players score against Hartford. The last time Marist had nine or more players score was against Manhattan on April 5, 2017 when 11 players scored in a 16-6 win.
- The Red Foxes last faced Stony Brook in 2016. Marist won in overtime over the eighth ranked Sea Wolves 10-9.
- Smith currently sits in fourth in the NCAA in face-off win percentage at .732. His 27 wins against Hartford is also the second most in a game this season.
- Joe Tierney leads the team on offense with nine points coming from six goals and three assists.
