POUGHKEEPSIE, New York- The Marist men's lacrosse team will play its first conference game of the season and first home game when they host Monmouth on Saturday March 16
th at 1 PM.

The Red Foxes fell to a dominant UNC team 17-5 on Friday March 8
th. The Tar Heel defense held the Red Foxes to a single goal in the first half. UNC scored 10 of their 17 goals in the second half. After the loss, Marist fell to 2-3 overall on the season.

Monmouth is currently 1-4 overall. The Hawks are coming off of a two-game losing streak after falling to Saint Joseph's 8-6 on Saturday March 2
nd and NJIT 8-5 on Tuesday March 5
th. This is also Monmouth's first conference game of the season.
Midfielder Zach Clemente leads the team in scoring with seven goals on the season and scored a season high four goals in the win versus Wagner.

- Monmouth made the playoffs last year but fell to Detroit Mercy in the semi-final. They finished with the third best record in the conference at 4-2.
- Jake MacGregor ranks third in the MAAC in Goals Against Average (11.15) and save percentage (.522).
- James Sarrocco is tied for fourth in the conference in caused turnover, averaging 1.4 per game.
- Jake Weinman and Jojo Pirreca each have eight goals on the season and each have recorded a hat trick.
- Marist is second in the conference in ground balls per game, averaging 33.60 per game.
