TAVERAS IS TEARING IT UP
Senior Randy Taveras is putting together a nice season. The senior from the Bronx is slashing .310/.394/.398.

"Over the past four years, I feel like I've matured a lot in the sense of slowing down the game, improving my approach and trusting myself on the field," said Taveras. "Slowing down the game is important because you have to let everything flow smoothly when you're making plays. The coaches have helped us a lot with getting into that neutral mental zone and letting your instincts react."

Taveras has 35 hits this season, including five doubles, a triple, and a home run. The Bronx-native has walked 13 times, scored 19 runs, driven in 14, and stolen 10 bases. His 41 career stolen bases place him at fourth all-time in Marist history.

"After this win with Binghamton, we feel good heading into a conference weekend. We go into every game with the mentality that we're going to win. If everyone performs as well as they're able, we'll definitely be able to win the series and move towards the top of the standings."
COACH'S OUTLOOK
"We are looking forward to the weekend. We broke through by winning a mid-week contest this week and have the challenge of arguably the hottest team in the league with Manhattan," stated Head Coach Chris Tracz. "We will have to be focused and energized this weekend to see positive results."

NEXT UP
The Red Foxes will head down to West Point for a mid-week, non-conference matchup with Army on Wednesday, April 24. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
