POUGHKEEPSKIE, New York – Marist water polo went 21-15 in the regular season, and finished another stellar MAAC season with a 12-2 record to clinch the #2 seed in the conference tournament. This marked the Red Foxes' 16
th straight postseason berth, and they will once again host the competition in McCann Natatorium.

- Marist is set to face off with #3 seed Iona (15-16 overall, 9-5 MAAC) for the second consecutive year in the semifinals on April 27 at 2 p.m.
- The winner will move on to face the winner of #1 Wagner and #4 Virginia Military Institute in the MAAC Championship game on April 28 at 2 p.m.
- The losers will play for third place at noon on April 28.

- Marist maintained a top-25 ranking for the entire season, peaking at #20 in the College Water Polo Association national poll.
- The Red Foxes faced a grueling schedule, playing ranked opponents in 16 out of 36 total games.
- Marist claimed victory over #19 San Diego State, #21 Cal State Northridge and #19 San Jose State, while taking #16 Wagner, #15 Long Beach State and #14 UC San Diego down to the wire in near upsets.
- Marist finished as a top-two seed for the tenth time in twelve seasons, having made the post season for 16 years in a row.
- The Red Foxes held a perfect record against every conference opponent except for Wagner. Though not counted as a MAAC game, Marist took the Seahawks to the brink on March 15, only losing by a last-minute buzzer-beater to drop an 11-10 decision.
- The Red Foxes scored a then-season high 24 points in the win over La Salle on March 9, and then eclipsed that in a 26-8 victory at Villanova on April 14 to close the conference season.
- Marist defeated the Gaels in both games of the series this season. The Red Foxes won 13-7 at the Seahawk Invitational on March 23, and then earned the sweep with a 13-5 victory on April 14.
- Iona boasts two of the top offensive players in the conference with Jillian Schultz (69 goals, 22 assists, 43 steals) and Jordan Van Reeken (70 goals, 15 assists, 66 steals).
- Goalkeeper Jordin Hale made 288 saves in 29 games for a save percentage of 48.6.
- Marist has won the MAAC Championships four times: 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
- The Red Foxes have appeared in the Championship match for the past five seasons, and in ten out of 16 total seasons.
- Marist earned their first NCAA tournament win in 2009 with a 16-11 victory over Cal Lutheran.
- The next year, the Red Foxes topped Pomona-Pitzer in the 2010 tournament by a score of 6-5.
