Samantha Mehalick was named the Brine Lacrosse/US Lacrosse Player of the Week after her record breaking game against Manhattan.

Mehalick scored 11 goals in a thrilling 15-14 victory over Manhattan to advance to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Semifinal Round. Trailing throughout most of the game, Mehalick scored four goals in the last six minutes to help erase the deficit. She was also a perfect 4-for-4 on free position shots. Currently, Mehalick ranks fourth in the NCAA in goals per game with 4.24.

Eleven goals is the most scored in the NCAA this season and the second most in an NCAA game ever. Loyola's Stacey Morlang, who scored 12 goals in a May 1, 2002 game against American.

Mehalick and the Red Foxes will take on Fairfield in the MAAC Semifinal on Thursday, May 2 at 3:00 PM.
