POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Freshman pitcher
Calista Phippen of the Marist softball team has been named Second Team All-ECAC.

In her freshman season, Phippen went 19-5 with a 1.48 earned run average and two saves. She struck out 190 in 160.1 innings, and tossed six shutouts. Her totals of wins, earned run average, strikeouts, and shutouts were the single-season numbers of any pitcher in
Joe Ausanio's 11 years as head coach.

The ECAC honor adds to an impressive list of accolades Phippen has earned this season, which also includes:

th), strikeout-to-walk ratio (32

th).

The Marist softball team went 35-22 and 16-4 in MAAC regular-season play in 2019. The Red Foxes won a share of the conference's regular-season title for the third time in six years.
