Victoria Colatosti scored for the second consecutive game and junior goalkeeper
Abigail Renaud recorded a career-high seven saves, but two Drexel goals in the first 10 minutes of the contest gave the Dragons a 3-1 win over the Red Foxes Friday evening.
Marist stumbles to 1-1 on the young season, while Drexel improves to the same record.
- Drexel broke the ice just 2:15 in, as Lauren Currey found Shea Tomlinson to make it 1-0 Drexel.
- Just 4:55 later, Currey facilitated again, this time for a Morgan Rees strike.
- The Dragons coaxed two shots in nine seconds during the 37th minute, but Renaud squared up for back-to-back saves.
- In the second half, Marist got on the board as Colatosti deposited a loose ball off a corner kick in the 72nd minute.
- Currey staked Drexel to a 3-1 advantage after Marist couldn't clear out a cross from the left corner.
- The Dragons earned a penalty kick in the 85th minute, but Renaud denied Rees with a diving save to her left.
- Drexel outshot Marist 15-10, but both sides were tied in the category at six apiece in the second stanza.
- The Red Foxes kicked three corners in the first 10:01 of the contest.

- For the second-straight game, Colatosti and freshman forward Brooke Cergol led the team with three shots. Junior forward Jillian Colucci added two shots in the first half.
