Brian Giorgis returned to McCann Arena as Marist Women's Basketball began preseason practices for the 2019-20 season began on Friday, September 27.

- Fourteen student-athletes comprise the 2019-20 edition of the Red Foxes, made from 10 returners and four newcomers.
- Those 10 veterans make up 87.9 percent (59.9 of its 68.1 PPG) of Marist's scoring from last year.
- Seniors Grace Vander Weide, Alana Gilmer, and Rebekah Hand are the 2019-20 team captains.
- Hand (All-MAAC First Team, All-Met First Team), Gilmer (All-MAAC First Team, All-Met Third Team), Vander Weide (All-MAAC Third Team, MAAC All-Championship Team), and Sarah Barcello (MAAC All-Championship Team) were Marist's postseason honorees in 2018-19.
- The four newcomers are Trinasia Kennedy, Julianna Bonilla, Samantha Bailey, and Camille Loussedes.
- Giorgis enters his 18th season as Head Coach of the Red Foxes. He is one win away from 400 career victories at Marist.
- Associate Head Coach Erin Doughty (15th overall season), Assistant Coaches Brittany Parker (first season) and Maggie Gallagher (fourth season), and Director of Operations Elyse Schlump (second season) round out the coaching staff.
- Parker arrives to Poughkeepsie from the College of Charleston, with additional stops at Western Kentucky and Niagara.
- The season tips off on the road Friday, November 8 at 6 p.m. against Boston University.
- Marist's first game at McCann Arena is Wednesday, November 13 at 7 p.m. vs. UAlbany.
- The Red Foxes will compete in the 2019 MAAC/ASUN Challenge, held at the HP Fieldhouse at Disney's ESPN Wide World of Sports from Friday, November 22 to Saturday, November 23.
- Conference play begins Thursday, January 2, 2020 with a home tilt against Monmouth at 7 p.m.
