Women’s Soccer Heads To Monmouth On Saturday

Marist Seeks First 2019 MAAC Win Over Three-Time Defending Champs

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist Women's Soccer competes in its first road conference match of 2019 when it visits three-time defending MAAC champion Monmouth on Saturday, September 28 at 6 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
  • In the conference lidlifter on Sunday, September 22, Marist tied Iona 1-1 at Tenney Stadium.
  • Redshirt sophomore Kristen Prevosto headed in her fourth goal of the season, while senior Alexa Svensson moved into a tie for second-place on the all-time assists list.
  • Sophomore Natalie Kelchner added seven saves in net.

  • The Hawks sit at 3-2-2 on the year, highlighted by a 4-0 win over #25 Texas and a 3-1 victory over Saint Peter's in their MAAC opener.
  • Preseason Player of the Year Madie Gibson and senior Dana Scheriff lead the Monmouth attack with six points.
  • Goalkeeper Amanda Knaub has added 21 saves in net, ceding only three goals.
  • Marist's last win in the all-time series came at the Jersey Shore, a 2-1 triumph on October 11, 2017. Jillian Colucci buried the game-winner in the 89th minute to seal the win in that contest.
