LAST TIME OUT
  • Last weekend the Red Foxes opened MAAC play at McCann Arena, splitting a series of two matches.
  • After falling to Fairfield on Saturday, Marist bounced back with a 3-1 victory over the Quinnipiac Bobcats on Sunday.
  • Against the Bobcats, Nikki DeSerpa recorded her 1,000th career kill, becoming just the eighth Marist player to have done so in their career.
  • Senior Megan Fergus led the Red Foxes to the win with a match-high 22 kills. DeSerpa added a season-high 16 kills as well.
  • Setter Halle Carter recorded 49 assists to go along with 17 digs. Sophia Theriot led Marist with a match-high 24 digs.

THE WEEKEND OF CAREER-HIGHS
  • Four different Red Foxes tallied career-high marks in last weekend's match against Quinnipiac.
  • Fergus' 22 kills were the highest kill total of her career, and she also added a career-high 10 digs, which gave her the first double-double of her career.
  • Theriot reached 20+ digs for the third time this season, tallying a career-high 24, to go with a career-best mark of eight assists. She also had three service aces for the first time in her young career.
  • Carter's 49 assists were a career-high for her as well, but that was not all. Her career-high 17 digs gave her the first double-double of her career. Meanwhile she also tallied a career-high two kills, and matched her career-high with one service ace.
  • Gabby Murray tallied a career-high five service aces against the Bobcats, which is also a high total for any Red Fox this season. She also added a career-best three digs.

A LOOK AT THE RECORD BOOK
  • DeSerpa is now just 15 kills away from sole possession of 7th place on Marist's all-time kills list, which would move her past Assistant Coach Kelsey Lahey.
  • Fergus is very close to joining DeSerpa on the kills list, as just 21 more kills would move her into sole possession of 10th place on the list.
  • Stephanie Stone is now just seven total blocks away from joining Fergus on the all-time blocks list, as she would move into 10th place with seven kills over the weekend.
  • Fergus can move up one spot on the blocks list if she totals 16 total blocks over the weekend.

SCOUTING ST. PETER'S
  • Saint Peter's comes into the match with a record of 3-10. The Peacocks are on a two-game slide heading into Saturday's match, most recently losing to Lafayette, 3-2.
  • Like the Red Foxes, the Peacocks come into this match 1-1 in conference play.
  • Alanis Alvarado leads St. Peter's in kills with 123 on the year, while Angeleyshka Curbelo has recorded 102 so far this season.
  • Wildalys Soto comes into the weekend with 276 assists on the year, leading the team by a margin of 242.
  • Karla Seda leads the Peacocks' with an impressive 218 digs this season, good for nearly 17 digs a match.

SCOUTING RIDER
  • The Broncs are so far undefeated in MAAC play, going 2-0 to start the year.
  • Overall, Rider is 5-9, and is heading into the weekend coming off a 3-0 loss to American.
  • Morgan Romano is having a stellar rookie campaign for the Broncs. Fresh off MAAC Player of the Week honors as well as her fourth consecutive Rookie of the Week award, she heads into the weekend looking to improve upon her team-best 214 kills.
  • Anilee Sher leads the team in assists with 363, and Rachello Runyon leads the team with 234 digs.
  • Evelyn Shanefield has had a great defensive year for the Broncs, leading the team in total blocks with 47, but Morgan Koch is right behind her with 36 on the year.
