DURHAM, New Hampshire – New Hampshire rattled off four first-half goals to defeat Marist 5-0 on Thursday evening at Wildcat Stadium.
The Red Foxes conclude their season-opening, four-game road trip at 2-2. UNH jumps to 3-2 on the season.
- Junior goalkeeper Abigail Renaud saw her first action in the fourth minute, making a save on a low-angle shot from Ally Reynolds.
- Reynolds got revenge via the game's first goal in the 16th minute.
- Though Renaud had an excellent point-blank save in the 24th minute, UNH notched its second goal on the rebound.
- The Wildcats then scored in the 34th, 38th, and 57th minutes.
- Coming on in the second half, sophomore goalkeeper Natalie Kelchner in the 60th minute.
- Renaud and Kelchner combined to make seven stops.
- Eight of Marist's 10 shots came in the second half.
- The Red Foxes and the Wildcats both recorded five corners.
- Twenty-two Red Foxes saw time on the pitch.
- New Hampshire takes a 2-1 lead in the all-time series.
- Marist has taken at least 10 shots in each game so far.
- Renaud has registered at least six saves in three of her first four contests.
Marist returns to the Queen City on Sunday, September 8 to battle Loyola (MD). Kickoff from Tenney Stadium is slated for 1 p.m.
