EDISON, New Jersey – Marist Men's and Women's Tennis were both selected to finish fourth in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the conference announced on Thursday morning.
 
The men's side earned 31 points, behind preseason favorite Monmouth, second-place Fairfield, and third-place Quinnipiac. The Red Foxes and Bobcats met in last season's MAAC Semifinals as Marist finished the 2018-19 regular season in second place.
 
The women's team captured 30 votes. Fairfield is the preseason favorite, with Quinnipiac and Siena ranking second and third, respectively. The Red Foxes reached the MAAC Championships last year as the third seed, where they faced off against the eventual MAAC champion Stags.
 
Marist Men's Tennis opens the spring season on Saturday, January 18 against Purdue at West Point. Already sporting a 1-0 MAAC record thanks to a win over Rider, the Red and White's first conference match in the warm weather is Saturday, April 4 at Siena.
 
Marist Women's Tennis waits until Thursday, January 30 to start the spring, hosting UNCW at the Cross Court Tennis Facility. The Red Foxes also visit Siena on Saturday, April 4 for the first MAAC bout of the spring. Marist is already 2-0 in conference play following victories against Monmouth and Rider.
