Marist Leads Wire-To-Wire In Victory At Niagara

Jones Ties Career High In Points, Cubbage Records Double-Double

NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, New York – The Marist men's basketball team never trailed in a 67-48 victory over Niagara on Friday night in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game at the Gallagher Center.
 
Summary
  • Matt Herasme opened the scoring with a three-pointer at the 18:32 mark, and Marist held Niagara without a field goal for the first 6:17.
  • A 9-0 run, capped by a Jordan Jones layup with 10:26 left in the first half, staked Marist to a 16-5 advantage.
  • The Red Foxes closed the first half on a 9-0 run, and held the Purple Eagles scoreless over the final 4:01, as they took a 33-17 halftime lead.
