NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, New York – The Marist men's basketball team never trailed in a 67-48 victory over Niagara on Friday night in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game at the Gallagher Center.
 

Summary

• Matt Herasme opened the scoring with a three-pointer at the 18:32 mark, and Marist held Niagara without a field goal for the first 6:17.
• A 9-0 run, capped by a Jordan Jones layup with 10:26 left in the first half, staked Marist to a 16-5 advantage.
• The Red Foxes closed the first half on a 9-0 run, and held the Purple Eagles scoreless over the final 4:01, as they took a 33-17 halftime lead.
• Marist went scoreless for the first 4:31 of the second half, but Jack Cavanaugh, Michael Cubbage, and Braden Bell then drained three-pointers on consecutive possessions to give the Red Foxes a 42-22 lead.
• Niagara never got closer than 11 points in the second half. With 5:29 to play, a three-pointer by Tyler Sagl gave Marist a 16-point advantage. The Red Foxes led by at least 14 the rest of the way.

• Jones led all scorers with 18 points. Jones also had eight rebounds, three steals, two blocked shots, and two assists.
• Cubbage finished with 12 points, a game-high 11 rebounds, and a game-high six assists.
