RICHMOND, Virginia – Marist men's lacrosse hits the road for the first time this season, as the team travels to take on #19 Richmond on Friday, February 14. The game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

- The Red Foxes won their season opener as they defeated Binghamton, 12-4, on Saturday, February 8. They stand at 1-0 heading into Friday's game.
- Marist was led by Jojo Pirreca with a career-high four goals and James Lyons with three goals.
- Jason Intermesoli had a team high three assists in the wining effort, which was good for a career-high.
- Goalkeeper Jake MacGregor had 8 saves.
- The Red Foxes dominated the second half, outscoring the Bearcats eight to one.
- Senior face-off specialist Peyton Smith was named the MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Week last week, which was the fourth time he won the award in his career.
- Smith secured 15 of 18 face-offs against Binghamton on Saturday which was good for an .833 face-off-percentage.
- Smith was a member of the All-MAAC First Team last season, and was named MAAC Preseason Co-Player of the Year.
- Richmond began the season ranked #19 in the country and picked to win Southern Conference in the pre-season poll.
- The Spiders won the Southern Conference Championship last season.
- They were defeated by #5 Duke in last year's NCAA Tournament.
- The Spiders fell in their season opener to Maryland in 2OT, 14-13.
- Richmond tied for the league lead with four selection to the preseason All-Conference Team: Sean Menges, Ryan Lanchbury, Mitch Savoca, and Jason Reynolds.
- Richie Connell leads the team in points on the season with four (three goals and an assist). Savoca also has three goals this season.
The Red Foxes will return home to take on #14 Army West Point on Tuesday, February 18. The game is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m.
