  • Also in the 2019 matchup, Smith went 14-18 on face-offs, including 11-11 in the second. Look for Smith to try and dominate again tomorrow.
  • Marist's other loses to the Black Knights came in 2007 and 2004.

SCOUTING ARMY
  • Army began the season ranked #15 on the USILA Preseason Poll.
  • The Black Knights were picked to finish second in the Patriot League Preseason Poll, behind Loyola Maryland.
  • Last week Army West Point was ranked #14/#13, but then routed #19/20 Rutgers 15-4, leading to them moving up to #9/7.
  • The Cadets also beat #18/19 UMass 17-4 in their season opener.
  • Brendan Nichtern, Matt Manown, and Tom Rigney were all named to the Preseason All-Patriot League team, and are the names to watch for Army.
  • Nichtern leads the team with 18 points this season (seven goals, and 11 assists), while Sean O'Brien leads the team with nine goals.
  • Steve Grabher paces the Cadets with 21 ground balls, and Marcus Hudgins has a team-high eight caused turnovers so far this season.
