NEW YORK, New York – Marist Women's Basketball senior captain
Rebekah Hand added to her list of accolades with the Met Basketball Writers Association selecting the guard as the Division I Player of the Week, the organization announced on Tuesday morning.

The honor covers games from February 10-16. Hand is the second Red Fox to earn MBWA D1 Player of the Week honors after
Alana Gilmer received recognition on January 14. The distinction comes after Hand was chosen as the
MAAC Player of the Week for the week of February 17.

In a perfect 3-0 week for Marist, Hand totaled 70 points for a 23.3 per game average, in addition to 4.7 assists per contest and a 56.8 field goal percentage. In a battle for first place against Rider on January 11, Hand scored a team-best 20 points, adding in five rebounds and five assists. Ten of those points came from the charity stripe, and eight were in the fourth quarter of a 63-58 Marist victory.

Against Canisius on February 13, Hand scored seven points in the first quarter to help lift the Red Foxes to an 86-72 win. She finished with 18 points and seven assists, along with zero turnovers.

The Argyle, TX native had one of her best performance in her three-plus year career when she unloaded a career-high tying 32 points on 14 field goals, four three-pointers, and four rebounds in the 78-55 triumph at Siena on February 16. The 14 buckets are the second-highest total by a Red Fox in a single game.

In her Marist career, Hand has 1,885 points (second all-time), 646 field goals (second all-time), 233 three-pointers (third all-time), 732 rebounds (sixth all-time), and 331 assists (ninth all-time). She is currently 12
th in the MAAC history books in career points.
