POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – After a two-week rest from competition, the Marist men's tennis teams hits the road on Saturday, February 22, as it takes on La Salle at 10 a.m. for the first time in program history, then faces Bucknell on Sunday, February 23 at 10:30 a.m.

- The Red Foxes beat Colgate, 4-3, on Feb. 8.
- John Oxner was victorious in both his singles (6-2, 6-4) and doubles match alongside Christopher Gladden (6-3).Â
- Colgate gained the chance to catch up to Marist as they won three consecutive matches.
- Lars Schouten was able to secure the Red Fox win with his close singles match, winning 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 in the top flight.

- For his heroics against the Raiders, Schouten was named the MAAC Player of the Week for February 13.
- He joined Piotr Sowinski as the two Red Foxes to earn a weekly award from the conference this year.
- In the past two spring seasons, Schouten has won four MAAC Player of the Week awards, the most by an individual student-athlete in that span.
- As a team, Marist has seven Players of the Week in that period, the most in the conference.

- The Explorers are currently 2-2 overall after securing a win over Holy Cross last weekend, 6-1.
- Junior Connor Merrill picked up wins at No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles.
- Freshman Gage Sanchez and junior Colin Lucius swept Holy Cross 6-0 at No. 3 doubles.
- La Salle took five of six singles matches consecutively for the victory.
- The Explorers are scheduled to play Bucknell late on Feb. 21, the night before their matchup against the Red Foxes.

- The Bison sit at 2-3 in dual matches heading into Friday.
- Bucknell was victorious over Siena 5-2 on February 2, but fell to Monmouth 6-1 on February 8.
- More recently, the Bison took down Saint Francis (PA) 5-2, sweeping the doubles point and winning the top four flights.
- Marwan Abaza is 3-1 in No. 1 singles this year, leading Bucknell in wins.

- The Red Foxes will stay in Williamsport, PA for their match against Bucknell on Sunday, February 23. Marist then battles Lafayette in Schenectady, NY on March 1.
