WEST POINT, New York – Marist Women's tennis heads to West Point, New York on Friday, February 28 to take on Army. The match will be the first of four-straight games away from Poughkeepsie for the Red Foxes. Play is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m.
- The Red Foxes fell to Bucknell 4-3 on February 23 in Williamsport, PA.
- Senior Jada Tijani and freshman Nina McAllan won the third flight 6-3 over Jill Auteri and Chloe Zilkha in doubles play, but Marist lost the first two flights.
- McAllan, Tijani and senior Amy Galloway recorded singles wins.
- Marist last took on Army at home on March 1, 2019.
- Marist fell by a score of 5-0.
- Marist participated in the West Point Invite in September 2019.
- Junior captain Sam Galu advanced to the finals of the E Singles in that event.
- Army finished 2019 with a record of 22-8 and 5-2 in the conference play.
- The Black Knights currently stand at 9-3.
- Army's eight-match win streak was snapped in a 4-3 loss to NJIT last time out.
- In doubles play, the team of juniors Sasha Inchauste and Hannah Boubel were victorious along with the team of senior Gloria Son and freshman Elizabeth Gilbert.
- In singles competition, Maryjo Pidgeon and Inchauste were victorious.
The Red Foxes will head to Schenectady, New York where they will take on Lafayette on Sunday, March 1
st. First serve is set for Noon.
