Men's Tennis Takes Trip To Colgate

Marist Plays For First Time In Two Weeks

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - After a two-week layoff, Marist Men's Tennis travels to Hamilton, New York to face Colgate on Saturday, February 8 at 6 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Marist was only able to pick up wins in No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles in a 6-1 setback against defending Big East champion St. John's on January 25.
  • The match served as the Red Foxes' season opener.
 
THE STAKES FOR MARIST
  • Marist has a record of 1-1 in dual matches this season after it swept Rider in their first MAAC match of the season.
  • Junior Piotr Sowinski received MAAC Player of the Week Honors for his performance last week. Sowinski had a hand in the sixth flight singles and third flight doubles in the match against the Red Storm.
 
SCOUTING COLGATE
  • Marist is 6-1 all time against Colgate.
  • The Raiders finished last season at 7-14.
  • Colgate dropped their last match against Cornell and are now 1-1 on the season.
  • Junior Scott Bickel was named First Team All-Patriot League last season. He also garnered Patriot League Player of the Week honors last week.
