Women's Tennis Set For Colgate Clash

Red Foxes Have Won Five Of Last Seven Matches Versus Raiders

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Seeking its first win of the 2020 spring slate, Marist Women's Tennis heads to Hamilton, New York to battle Colgate On Saturday, February 8 at 3 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT
  • Opening up the second portion of the season, the Red and White dropped matches to UNCW at home and Lehigh on the road.
  • Junior Sophia Chavarria picked up a win in the fourth singles flight against the Seahawks on January 30.
  • She and senior Amy Galloway were victorious over the Mountain Hawks in No. 3 doubles on February 2.
 
THE STAKES FOR MARIST
  • The Red Foxes sit at 2-2 in dual matches so far. Both wins came in MAAC play against Monmouth and Rider in the spring.
  • Marist swept Colgate 7-0 last year at Colgate.
 
SCOUTING COLGATE
  • Colgate leads the all-time series against the Red Foxes at 7-5, though MArist has won three of the last four.
  • Last year, the Raiders finished 5-15 overall and 2-4 in the Patriot League.
  • Colgate returns their entire roster with their top three singles players returning in Jordan Williams, Lauren O'Brien, and MacKenzie Deeter.

  • Marist plays Binghamton at home on Saturday, February 15 at 6 p.m.
