HAMDEN, Connecticut – The Marist men's basketball team lost at Quinnipiac, 71-52, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game at People's United Center on Sunday afternoon.

- Quinnipiac jumped out to an 11-3 lead, which included three three-pointers, which led to a Marist timeout at the 16:31 mark.
- Braden Bell came off the bench to score two baskets in 50 seconds, which cut Marist's deficit to 17-13 at the 12:11 mark.
- Quinnipiac's lead reached 13 on a three-pointer by Jacob Rigoni in the final minute, but two free throws by Bell in the closing seconds cut the gap to 32-21 going into halftime.
- Marist held Quinnipiac scoreless between the 18:30 and 13:00 marks of the second half. With 12:07 to play, a three-pointer by Tyler Saint-Furcy sliced the Bobcats' lead to 39-36.
- Quinnipiac answered with a 16-5 run, and took a 14-point lead on a Kevin Marfo basket with 5:41 left.
- The final margin of 19 was Quinnipiac's largest lead of the game.

- Braden Bell had team highs of 11 points and eight rebounds.
- Michael Cubbage finished with seven points, seven rebounds, and a team-high three assists.
- Tyler Saint-Furcy had seven points, seven rebounds, and a team-high two blocked shots.
- Rich Kelly led four Quinnipiac double-digit scorers with a game-high 17.
- Kevin Marfo finished with 10 points and game highs in rebounds (16), assists (five), and blocked shots (four).
- Marist shot .294 (15-for-51) from the field.
- Marist shot 8-for-22 (.364) from three-point range, while Quinnipiac was 14-for-35 (.400).

- Bell tied his career high with eight rebounds. He scored in double figures for the fifth time in the last six games.
- Saint-Furcy's seven boards were a career high.
- Marist has now trailed by double digits at halftime in three straight games.

"Unfortunately, we started the first half again with not enough passion and fight," head coach
John Dunne told the Red Fox Network following the game. "We just made a lot of bad decisions in the first half. We had way too many turnovers to start the game. … We just have to continue to keep fighting."

- Quinnipiac is 14-15 on the season and 9-10 in conference play.
