POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference announced their preseason polls for both the men's and women's swimming teams upcoming season. The poll, which is a culmination of the votes by all of the league's coaches, had both the Marist men's and women's teams ranked third among the MAAC.

The Red Foxes are coached by first year head coach
Anthony Randall, who has over a decade of experience coaching at the Division I level. Randall joins a Marist team that has experienced swimmers returning on both the women's and men's teams.

The women's team is led by senior
Sidney Judson, who during her sophomore year was a conference champion in the 500 free and 1650 free. Alongside her is teammate
Veronica Stureborg, who set a school record in the 50-yard back and 100-yard back during her freshman season in 2018-19.

The men's team is led by
Adam Kapusta, who won the 200-yard free, 200-yard fly, and 200-yard back against Binghamton, and also won the 500-yard free and 200-yard fly against Bryant during his sophomore season.
Ahmed Sallam is also returning for the Red Foxes after setting a program record in the 50-yard back and splitting the fastest 50-yard free time in school history during the Red Foxes last season.
Ryan Kaplan is a school record holder in the 200-yard backstroke. As a freshman two years ago,
Ethan McCormac earned the bronze medal at the MAAC Championships in the 50-yard free.

Both teams open their seasons on Friday, Oct. 15 at McCann Natatorium against Canisius at 10 a.m. The full results of the preseason polls can be viewed below:
