POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's basketball team (4-5) returns to action on Saturday, when the Red Foxes take to the road to face Boston University (9-3). Tip-off is set for 5 p.m.

• BU is 9-3 overall, and enters the contest with five straight wins. The Terriers, who were picked to finish first in the Patriot League Preseason Poll, last defeated Dartmouth 65-62 on Saturday, Dec. 11. /p>

• BU is the last of four Patriot League teams Marist will face this season. The Red Foxes fell to American, Army, and Navy earlier this year.

• Marist fell at home to Navy, 67-61 on Sunday, Dec. 12.


• The Midshipmen led by as much as 22 in the second half. The Red Foxes cut the deficit to six on two occasions.


• Ricardo Wright had game highs of 18 points and seven rebounds for Marist.

• Freshman guard Jao Ituka was named MAAC Rookie of the Week on Monday, Dec. 13 for the second straight week.

• Ituka averaged a team-best 16.0 points along with 3.5 rebounds, 1.0 steals, and 1.0 assists in Marist's two games this past week. He shot .684 (13-for-19) from the field and drained his only three-point attempt.

• Marist has held its last four opponents to a collective .389 field goal percentage (91-for-234).

• Marist is averaging 9.8 three-pointers made and shooting .429 from three-point range in its wins, while averaging 5.6 three-pointers made and shooting .262 in its losses.
