Men’s Basketball Prevails at Rider

Wright Leads Red Foxes With 27 Points, Seven Rebounds

LAWRENCEVILLE, New Jersey - The Marist men's basketball team defeated Rider for its first win of Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference play this season, 79-67, on Sunday.
 
Summary
  • A triple from Ricardo Wright with 16:27 remaining in the first half gave Marist a 7-2 lead early on.
  • Mervin James tied the game at 9 with a three pointer, but Noah Harris answered with a three of his own to give Marist a 12-9 lead with 11:46 left in the first half. Harris' three started a 10-0 Marist run gave the Red Foxes a 19-9 lead at the 8:27 mark. The Red Foxes led the rest of the way.
  • Another Wright three-pointer put Marist up 34-22 with 1:20 left in the first half.
