POUGHKEEPSIE, New York –
McKenna Klineyoung (women's rowing) and
Murray Coueslant (men's swimming & diving) were named Student-Athletes of the Month for March by Marist's Center for Student-Athlete Enhancement.
A senior from of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Klineyoung is a Communication – Advertising/Public Relations major. She has made the Dean's List in all seven of her previous semesters at Marist, and is a two-year selection to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team. She is part of Marist's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Executive Board, as she serves as the Inclusion & Advocacy Chair. Klineyoung has served as a Student-Athlete Peer Mentor. She attended the Black Student-Athlete Summit in January of this year. She also serves as Account Representative for North Road Communications. Klineyoung was part of the Second Varsity 8 which won a MAAC championship in 2019, as the Red Foxes advanced to the NCAA Championships.
Coueslant is a senior from Aberdeen, Scotland who is majoring in Computer Science. He has been named to Marist's Dean's List in all seven of his previous semesters, is a two-year selection to the MAAC All-Academic Team, and was named MAAC Student-Athlete of the Week in October 2020. Coueslant serves as President of Marist's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and is a member of the Marist College Standing Committee on Athletics. He attended the NCAA Leadership Forum in April of 2019. In the water, Coueslant is the Red Foxes' school record holder in the 200-yard butterfly.
