Men’s Lacrosse Defeated by Canisius in MAAC Quarterfinals

Jamison Embury Matches Career-High Goal, Assist, & Point Totals in Loss

BUFFALO, New York – The Marist men's lacrosse team was defeated 14-13 by the Canisius Golden Griffins on Friday evening in the quarterfinal round of the MAAC Championships

Despite a career day from Jamison Embury, the Golden Griffins were able to fight off a thrilling second-half comeback attempt from Marist who trailed by six goals late into the third quarter. The Red Foxes closed the game on a 6-1 run which cut the deficit to just one goal, but a diving shot attempt to tie the game by Jason Intermesoli with just a few ticks left on the clock in regulation was turned away by Canisius goalkeeper Matt Vavonese to secure the victory for the Golden Griffins.
