COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado - The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) has named the Marist College men's and women's swimming and diving teams to its Scholar All-American team for the Spring 2021 semester. This is now the sixth semester in a row both the men's and women's teams have received this recognition.
A grand total of 721 different programs from 426 different schools were represented by this semester's CSCAA Scholar All-American team. Overall,17,982 students are being recognized.
For the spring semester, the women's swimming and diving team had a team GPA of 3.56. Meanwhile, the men's team had a 3.25 GPA, helping them to qualify for this prestigious honor.
"Coach VanWagner continues to set the standard for success both in the pool and the classroom," noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Marist and Athletic Director Murray, President Murray, and Dr. John Ritschdorff (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these 49 men & women."
The CSCAA will announce its individual Scholar All-Americans next week.
