SMITHFIELD, Rhode Island – Marist men's swimming and diving was defeated by Bryant , 171-129, in a non-conference meet this past weekend. It was the Red Foxes first meet since December 4^th after having their meet against Southern Connecticut State canceled in mid-January.
 

HIGHLIGHTS

 

• Ethan McCormac finished first in the 200-yard freestyle secure nine points for the Red Foxes.
• In event 12 Adam Kapusta claimed victory in the 200-yard butterfly. Pavel Makarchuk placed third in the same event. Makarchuk also placed first in the 100-yard butterfly.
• McCormac and Ahmed Sallam finished first and second in the 100-yard freestyle.
• Kapusta and James Conable finished first and second in the 500-yard freestyle.
• On the men's three-meter diving board, Tyler Wenzel took first place with a final score of 240.22.
• In the 200-yard freestyle relay, Sallam, Devin White, Makarchuk, and McCormac took first place.

• Marist is now 3-3 on the season, remaining 1-2 in conference meets.

 

UP NEXT

• The Red Foxes return home to celebrate senior day as they host Binghamton on Saturday, January 29^th at 1 p.m.
• After the senior day meet, the Red Foxes head to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference championships from Feb. 9 – Feb. 12.
