POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist volleyball team took down MAAC opponent Niagara in four sets on Sunday at McCann Arena,
The Red Foxes improved to 12-9 on the season and 8-3 in the MAAC. The Red Foxes won by scores of 25-21, 20-25, 25-18, 25-20.

- In set one the Red Foxes broke open a 21-all tie with four straight points to take a 1-0 lead in the match.
- After spotting Marist the first point of the second set, Niagara scored the next three and never trailed the remainder of the set en route to a 25-20 win.
- Marist scored the first three points of the set and never trailed, as the Red Foxes prevailed 25-18 to go up 2-1 in the match.
- A 7-0 run early in set four propelled the Red Foxes to a 25-20 victory, as Marist took the match 3-1.
- Jordan Newblatt and Gabrielle Heller each contributed a match-high 16 kills.
- Four Red Foxes notched at least 10 digs: Newblatt (match-high 19), Morgan Owens (10), McKinley Fox (10), and Jillian Hanna (10).Â
- Alyssa White hit .889 (eight kills, nine attempts) and tied Vanessa Zolg for the team lead with four blocks.
- Fox led all players with 36 assists.
- The Red Foxes will head back to the road to face Iona on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m.
- The match will take place at the Meyer Athletic Center in Bronxville, New York on the campus of Concordia College.
