POUGHKEEPSIE, New York -The Marist volleyball team took down Rider in four sets on Saturday  as the Red Foxes won their second straight match.
After splitting the first two sets, Marist won the last two to close out the match. The Red Foxes were able to prevail by scores of 25-14, 19-25, 25-19, 25-15.
Marist is now 14-10 overall and 10-4 in the MAAC, sitting in a three-way tie for second.

- The Red Foxes got off to a hot start winning the first set by a score of 25-14, with 15 kills tallied for Marist.
- Rider jumped out to an 18-9 lead in set two, and ended up prevailing 25-19.
- In set three, Marist broke open an 11-11 tie with four straight points, and added another 4-0 lead later in the set in a 25-19 victory.
- After Rider jumped out to a 5-4 lead in set four, Marist seized control with a 10-1 run and rolled toa 25-15 victory to close out the match.
- Sasha van der Merwe had a match-high 16 kills.
- Jordan Newblatt had 15 digs to go along with 11 kills.
- Gabrielle Heller had 15 kills, nine digs, and three aces.
- McKinley Fox had 35 assists.
- Marist held Rider to a .121 hitting percentage.
- The Red Foxes will host Saint Peter's and honor their seniors for Senior Day on Sunday, Oct. 30.
- First serve is set for 2 p.m., with Senior Day ceremonies taking place prior to the match.
