HAMDEN, Connecticut -Â The Marist volleyball team took down Quinnipiac in five sets on Wednesday at Quinnipiac, as the Red Foxes won their fourth straight.
Marist battled back & forth with the Bobcats for control of the match trading sets. The Red Foxes were able to prevail by scores of 25-22, 21-25, 25-14, 21-25, 15-10.
Marist completed the regular-season sweep of Quinnipiac, and now stands at 10-7 overall and 6-1 in the MAAC.

- The Red Foxes got off to a hot start winning the first set by a score of 25-22 where the 16 kills were tallied for Marist.
- In set two the Red Foxes battled back and forth with the Bobcats for the lead; however, Quinnipiac was able to win the set by a score of 25-21.
- Set three saw Jordan Newblatt and Sasha van der Merwe getting it done for the Red Foxes as Marist won set three by a score of 25-14. Newblatt had six kills in the set, while van der Merwe had five kills and a block.
- Set four saw Quinnipiac getting an early lead on the Red Foxes as the Bobcats won 25-21 and tied up the match 2-2
- The fifth set saw the Red Foxes & Bobcats juggle for the lead the Red Foxes were able to cap off the five-set victory, winning the fifth set with a score of 15-10
- It was a great all-around match for Gabrielle Heller, who had a match-high 23 kills plus 15 digs and hit .370.
- Newblatt finished with 22 kills and 16 digs, while van der Merwe had 18 kills and 12 digs.
- McKinley Fox led both teams with 56 assists.
- The Red Foxes will back at home as they take on MAAC opponent Siena at McCann Arena on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m.
