Women's Basketball Travels to Green Bay

Red Foxes Look to Pickup First Win of The Season

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – Marist women's basketball travels to Green Bay for their final non-conference matchup of the week before heading overseas to Dublin, Ireland. The Red Foxes will face off against Green Bay. The game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
 
 
Last Time Out
  • The Marist women's basketball team dropped its second straight game as they fell to the University of Pennsylvania 65-61 on Thursday night at McCann Arena.
  • The Quakers took a 27-23 lead at halftime as Marist hit just two of their eleven field goal attempts to end the second quarter.
  • Marist held Penn to 28 percent from the field in the first half, but Kayla Padilla poured in 19 points for the Quakers.
  • The Quakers had a scoring drought that amounted to over four minutes in the third quarter.
  • The Red Foxes outscored the Quakers 23-22 in the final period.
  • Graduate student Kendall Krick led the Red Foxes in points with 18 on 6-for-14 shooting from the field, including 6-for-9 from downtown. Krick also led the team in rebounds with eight.
  • Junior Zaria Shazer finished with 12 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Shazer collects a career high of five assists.
  • Junior Kiara Fisher chipped in with 12 points and a game-high five steals.
  • The Red Foxes shot 37 percent from the field (23-for-62) and 47 percent from beyond the arc (9-for-19).
 
Vs. Green Bay
  • Marist won the only matchup between these two teams in December of 2019, 72-60.
  • The Red Foxes shot 43.3% from the field and 31.4% from three-point territory.
  • Kendall Krick came off of the bench and hit two three pointers as a sophomore.

  • The Red Foxes travel overseas to the MAAC/ASUN Challenge to compete in two games.
