Men’s Basketball Stifles Columbia

Red Foxes Allow Lowest Point Total in Two Years

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's basketball team earned a 52-39 home victory over Columbia in a non-conference game on Monday at McCann Arena.
 
The victory was the Red Foxes' second straight.
 
Summary
  • Marist scored the first 13 points of the game, as Columbia was held scoreless for the first 10:55. The Lions missed their first 17 shots from the field, and were held without a field goal for the first 14:10.
  • Marist took a 22-10 lead into halftime.
  • Columbia cut Marist's lead to nine on two occasions in the first four minutes of the second half.
  • Marist used a 10-0 run, which included five points apiece from Kam Farris and Jaden Daughtry, to extend its lead to a game-high 20 with 10:05 left. The Red Foxes led by double figures the rest of the way.
