BUFFALO, New York - Day 3 of the MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships are complete, and Marist is currently in third on the men's side, while the women are in fourth place.
On the men's side, Marist trails second place Fairfield by 25 points heading into the final day, but maintains a healthy 63 point lead over Iona for third place. The women fell to fourth place on Friday, but have only a 22.5 point deficit to third place Iona.Â
James Conable placed third in the 400IM with a time of 4:00.17, less than two seconds out of second place. In the 400 Medley Relay, the Marist men finished second place with a time of 3:18.97.
Grace Reeves took first place in the Women's 3-meter dive with a score of 239.45. Reeves had previously won gold in the 1-meter Dive on the first day.
Jordyn Deubel also got on the podium on Friday, placing third in the 400IM with a score of 4:31.33 seconds.
Veronica Stureborg finished second in the 100-Back with a time of 56.50, and senior
Madison Sweeney tied for second place in the 3-meter dive.Â
The MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships continue on Saturday, with the first event starting at 10 a.m. at the Burt Flickinger Center in Buffalo, NY.
