RICHMOND, Virginia – The Marist men's lacrosse team was defeated by Richmond Saturday afternoon by a score of 18-4.
 

SUMMARY

• A Jojo Pirreca goal gave Marist a 1-0 lead in the first quarter at 9:26.
• Richmond responded with four straight goals to take the lead 4-1. Two goals coming from man-up situations.
• The Spiders started the second quarter collecting another goal to extend their lead to 5-1.
• At 5:26 in the second quarter, James Lyons connected on a man-up situation, cutting the Richmond lead back down to three goals.
• Richmond quickly tallied three more goals to end the half to bring its lead to six goals, 8-2.
• The Red Foxes were shut out in the third quarter, the Spiders capitalized adding four goals to their lead.
• In the fourth quarter, JT Roselle collected his first goal of the season at 8:54.
• At 5:10 of the fourth quarter, Roselle scored his second goal of the game. Richmond scored the final goal of the game with 17.2 seconds left.

• Roselle paced the Red Foxes with two goals and seven ground balls.
• Pirreca and Lyons both collected a goal a piece for Marist.
• Anthony Novellano finished the game with 17 saves and a .531 save percentage.
• Richmond held the advantage in face-offs, winning 20-of-25.
• The Spiders were led by Ryan Lanchbury and Dalton Young scoring four goals each.
