POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - The Marist men's tennis team defeated Fordham 4-3 Sunday night in a non-conference match held at Cross Court in Wappingers Falls.  It was the team's first win of the 2022 spring season.  Â

- The Red Foxes collected wins in the first, second and third position in singles.
- In the fifth position, Sequerth was defeated by a score of, 6-1, 6-0.
- Castillo-Sanchez won in the second position against Fordham's Juan Paredes.
- Friedman defeated Fordham in the first position,6-4 , 6-2.
- Fordham defeated Marist's Gonzalez-Bonorino in the fourth position and Carlos Vasquez in the sixth position.
- To secure the win for the Red Foxes, Christian Mills won in the third position against Fordham by a score of, 7-5 , 6-3.

Carlos Vasquez won in a tiebreaker, which gave us a 1-0 lead and paved the way for the victory.  Dylan and Christian won their first matches of the season at #1 and #3 singles respectively, and Gabe continued his stellar play at #2 with his third win of the campaign. A hard earned and well deserved victory."
