POUGHKEEPSIE, New York - Freshman Madeline Schultz of the Marist water polo team was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the second time this season on Thursday. 

Schultz had a very successful trip to the Santa Clara Invitational, finding the back of the net in each of the Red Foxes four games this past weekend. The freshman led all players at the invitational with 11 goals, including four goals against Santa Clara and four goals against Cal State East Bay in an overtime win. Schultz's scoring helped lead the Red Foxes to a 3-1 record in Santa Clara, with wins over Monterey Bay, Santa Clara, and Cal State East Bay. 

The Marist water polo team heads home this weekend to host the Courtney Fisher Invite on Saturday in Poughkeepsie. The Red Foxes will play two games on Saturday, with the first starting at 10:30 am against Mercyhurst. Following a break, Marist will honor their seniors as they host St. Francis Brooklyn at 6:30 pm for their senior game.
