Men's Lacrosse Secures Victory in Saturday Night Thriller

Two Goals in The Last Two Minutes to Secured the Victory.

POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's lacrosse team defeated Siena in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference matchup on Saturday night by a score of 11-10. In the final two minutes of the game, the Red Foxes scored two goals to take the lead and eventually the victory.

  • The Saints tacked on two more goals to take the lead back, 8-7. 
  • Pirreca and Kellen Pulera collected a goal to start the fourth quarter. Siena responded with two more goals to take the lead, 10-9. 
  • Down by a goal with two minutes remaining, Pulera tied it up for the Red Foxes. With 32 seconds in the game, Pirreca connected for the go-ahead goal for the Red Foxes, defeating Siena by a score of 11-10.

  • Lyons led the Red Foxes with four goals, collecting his second hat-trick of the season.  
  • Pirreca led Marist with five points (three goals and two assists). 
  • Pulera added two goals, Josh Balcarcel had a goal, and Ryan Jones scored his first career goal.
  • Anthony Novellano ended the night with 14 saves, a .583 save percentage.
