POUGHKEEPSIE, New York – The Marist men's tennis team will take on rival Siena in a MAAC matchup on Saturday, April 2. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. The Red Foxes match on Sunday against the Monmouth Hawks has been moved to Friday, April 8 at 1 p.m.
 

LAST TIME OUT

• The Red Foxes hosted Niagara last week, where they fell in a close-fought match, 4-3.
• In doubles, the Purple Eagles snagged the point from the Red Foxes, winning in the first and third positions. Gabriel Castillo and Christian Mills won their second position match against Manuel Alonso and Gurustat Makkar, 6-4.
• In second and third position, Gabriel Castillo and Christian Mills took their games and secured points for the team.
• In fifth position, Carlos Vasquez defeated Gurustat Makkar in an intense set, 7-6, 2-6, 10-7.

 

SCOUTING SIENA

• The Siena Saints are 11-6 this season, and 1-0 in the MAAC.
• The Saints are currently on a three-match win streak, coming off a win against Merrimack College, 4-3.
• Their doubles team of Jose Pablo Davila and Mathis Tremblay is currently undefeated on the season, 8-0.
• Jose Pablo Davila, Mathis Tremblay and Agustin Suarez have each collected 10 wins this season in singles.
